Our story
Blamster started the way a lot of good businesses do, with one developer doing great work and clients coming back for more. Over 20+ years, that grew into a partnership: David building, Erin making sure every project runs smoothly and every client is looked after.
We were early to freelance platforms, back when Upwork was still Elance, and built our reputation one project at a time. Today that adds up to 330+ projects delivered, more than $600K earned on Upwork and Top Rated status, with clients across North America and Europe.
We’ve deliberately stayed small. We don’t hand clients off to junior staff and we don’t outsource, so the people you deal with from day one are the people who do the work: David builds your project, and Erin manages it.
How we work today
Software development has changed more in the last few years than in the previous twenty. We’ve embraced AI-powered development as part of our everyday workflow, using it to deliver up to 50% faster while every change is still reviewed by a senior developer.
What hasn’t changed is how we treat clients: honest advice, fixed prices, clear communication and work we’re proud to put our name on.

Founder, Developer & Designer
David has been building for the web for more than 20 years, and he’s the developer on every Blamster project, so you always talk to the person writing your code. He specialises in Laravel, React, PHP and API development, from complete web applications to complex integrations and AI features. He studied Business Information Technology at NSCC, which gives him a solid understanding of how businesses actually run, not just how code works.
Project Manager
Erin manages every project, keeping everything organised, on schedule and clearly communicated. Her background in online journalism, copywriting and SEO means she understands both the technical side and the message your website needs to get across. She also leads our market research.
